Jon Marrick: The Relic Files, the adventure that begins with a radio

Twenty years ago, Professor Elias Marrick vanished in the Atlantic during an expedition. Tonight, in the study of the family house, his old radio plays his voice again. That is how Jon Marrick: The Relic Files begins, a mystery adventure from Marbo Games.

The story
Jon Marrick is an archaeologist who has lived with one unanswered question for twenty years: what really happened to his father. The official report speaks of a shipwreck, the research vessel Asterion. Elias's radio tells a different story: a code, a route that begins in Lisbon and a name, Orpheus, that nobody in the family should know.
The Atlantis Signal, the first adventure, follows that signal across ten chapters: from the Marrick mansion to Lisbon, Istanbul, Egypt and Greece, and from there to the bottom of the Atlantic.
How it plays
With one finger. Tap the floor and Jon walks there; tap anything with an eye above it and he examines it. Every scene is alive: rain on the glass, fire in the hearth, lanterns flickering in the basement. What you find goes into your inventory and your journal, and some things only make sense once you put them together with others.
The puzzles come from the scene itself: tuning a radio, turning a globe, reading a nautical chart. You do not need maths or history; you need to look and listen. Stealth arrives in Lisbon: patrols that only see what is in front of them, shadows and noises to throw them off and, if there is no other way, a tranquilliser dart. Jon puts people to sleep. He never kills.
What is free and what you pay for
The prologue, The Signal, is free to play in full from today. The first chapter, Shadows of Lisbon, is free as well, and you can play it now. That is plenty to decide whether you want to keep going.
If you want to reach the end, the full adventure is a one-time purchase: €12.99 in Europe and $12.99 everywhere else. It is not a subscription and it does not expire. It stays on your account, so you can restore it on another device whenever you like.
And that is all. No ads interrupting the game, no energy running out, no loot boxes, and no puzzle ever asks you to pay for the answer. Jon's next adventures, such as The Mayan Code, will be sold separately, and the one you already own does not change.
In six languages
The website and the game are in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French, German and Italian. The adventure's lines are written in English and translated into your language; if you like, the settings can also show the original underneath.
